[leaving on a jet plane, don't know when I'll be back again]

Just kidding, I'm not leaving on a jet plane and I do know when I'll be back again.  However, I do leave for the beach tomorrow - by car - with my husband and his family.  A week's vacation.  Ahhhh...

I may or may not post while I'm gone.  We'll see :)  Hope each of you has an awesome weekend.  I'll be back soon!

{Friday Favorite}

I came across the image below (taken almost 10 months ago) as I was sorting through photos this morning.  One of my favorite photos to date.  I remember traffic going by (obviously) and thinking, "I want to capture something really cool".  And I love what I captured.  Happy Friday, all!

{Wind in Her Face}

Sometimes my favorite photos are the "flukes".  This was a moment where my model was fighting with the wind.  I heart it.  Yes, I did just say "heart" it :)

{C is for Curls}

This girl has the most beautiful curly head of hair I've ever seen.  I want some of those curls!  Miss C (her name also starts with C), you're gorgeous - and a blast to photograph!

{No Title Needed}

{Anguish}

The pose in this photo was the model's idea. I remember he referred to it as "anguish". I loved it when we took the photo. I love it even more now. Maybe because I can apply it to some things in my own life. Everything from the way he's clenching his hair, to the muscles in his arms, to the watch on his arm, to the way he's looking down and shades are covering his eyes. I think the word 'anguish' fits this well. I wanted to add a little something different to this photo, a little drama, hence the different coloring, something I don't usually do. Hope this image speaks to you in *some* way.

{Steven | Young Adult}

Fresh, hip, young, laid-back and handsome.  SUCH an easy model :)  There are way more where these came from, and if you all are nice, I might give you more to look at in a couple days.  For now, enjoy these...

Ok, fine, here's one more:

{Jacob | Teen Guy FREE Contest Winner}

I was super excited to have a session with Jacob!  He won a free session via this contest.  See how easy it is to win a FREE session with me when I do these contests?  No catches to it, folks :)

Jacob is maybe the 3rd teenage guy I've photographed.  Seriously.  It's really rare, but I would LOVE to photograph more of them!  So, you mamas with teenage boys, send 'em my way!

Anyway, here are some photos of Jacob, and you'll notice the blue-eyed beauty with him.  That's Jacob's older sister, Brooke, and I'm glad we were able to do a session with her while she was home from school.

This next sequence cracks me up.  First it was, "Jacob, you throw the snow in the air".  You see what happened with that.  Then their dad says, "I'll throw the snow".  Well, you can see what happened then: a big blob of snow :)  And then the 3rd was both of them throwing snow.  Fun times, and I think it made for adorable pictures, even if they aren't "perfect" ;)

And, I love close-ups.  But then again, you probably know that by now.

{Friends | Session Sneak}

It was cold.  Drizzly.  Gray.  Cold.  Cold.  Did I mention it was cold?  Despite the rain, cold, and lack of sunshine, these girls were awesome.  You might recognize Tori from her senior session and when she contacted me about doing a shoot with friends - just because - I said, of course!

Unfortunately one of the friends wasn't able to make it, but Tori and Carly came out, and I'm glad they decided to in spite of the dreary weather.  Thanks, girls!

{Didn't Take Me Daysssss, Alex}

Alex told me just a couple hours after I'd taken these photos of her and her friends, "I'm ready to see some pictures!".  I told her it would be a few days,  because I've got other sessions to work on, and she said, "A few dayssss?".  So Alex, my dear, I worked extra hard just to get some more on here to satifsy you; you'll have to wait for your disc to see any more, sorry ;)

Alex and Rachael were the only 2 that had plans on having their pictures taken, but their friend Molly came along for the ride, and so I had her get in on some of the shots.  You girls are fun and silly and definitely know how to work it for the camera.  Had a blast!
