Happy Weekend!

Heyyyyy, y'allll!  I've been a blog slacker!  Haven't posted in almost a week, which is sorta unusual for me, but it's because I am SO busy!  Not only do I run my photography business, I run a family and a home.  Sooo...yeah, that leaves me little time sometimes for editing, much less posting on the blog.  I do, however, as I've mentioned before, post much more on Facebook.  It's much quicker for me.  If you're not a 'fan' yet of Boy & Girl Photography on Facebook, you should be! :) 

So, I hope you're having a wonderful weekend.  Here's a little bit of what I've done lately...

{Out of Focus Sunday}

Part of the challenge (for me, at least) in manually focusing on my subjects during a shoot is if they run away, like this...

I can't seem to get rid of this image though.  I am loving that it's "off".  Makes me happy.  I hope each of you have had a calm and happy Sunday.



{Belmont, NC Session Teasers}

I traveled to the tiny and beautiful city of Belmont, NC today to meet 7 different families for sessions.  I met them at Stowe Park, which was green and shady, and right across the road from it was a railroad track, train cars and some other neat things.  So, we took full advantage of all that and had a really great time.  It was HOT there today, but each family trooped through it and did so well.  By the end of my afternoon there, I was SOAKED with sweat, from head to toe, I'm sure I smelled weird (haha), I had been stung several times by a bee that got INTO my pants, I was parched and famished (not really, but it felt that way), but I was smiling and happy.  No really, I was.  It was a great day of sessions.  A huge thanks to all the lovely families that came out!

It's been an "experiment" kind of day for me.  Experimenting taking pictures on things that I don't really photograph.  It's just fun.

Just kidding, I'm not leaving on a jet plane and I do know when I'll be back again.  However, I do leave for the beach tomorrow - by car - with my husband and his family.  A week's vacation.  Ahhhh...

"H" Family | Sneak Peek

Hey everyone!  Loving this day as much as I am?  :)  I don't know...it's just been one of those days.  Good days.  I also leave for the beach on Saturday, so I am feeling anxious and excited!

Happy 4th of July!

{Memories}

When I was asked to come to this family's property for a "generation" session, I knew it was going to be special.  What I didn't know was just how special it would be.  Touching.  Emotional.  Moving.  Yes, I experienced lots of emotions during our hour session.  Laughing, getting teary-eyed, hearing interesting stories about the history of the houses and buildings on the property, the trees that meant something, the chimney (great for cracking open nuts, I hear, hehe), the shed, the horseshoe pit, and so many other things.  I left feeling very blessed to have spent this time with such an awesome family - and this is only a small portion of this family.  This family and property is full of memories, and I'm delighted that I was able to get to know some of these things.  I could keep talking about this session, but I want you all to just sit back now and enjoy.  Take in the details.  Turn up the music, too.

Two Special Packages

1. Maternity through 1 year package.  This package includes the following sessions:
    - Maternity photos, while baby is still in the womb (mini session)
    - Newborn photos, while baby is between days old and 2 weeks old (full session)
    - 3 month photos (full session)
    - 6 month photos (full session)
    - 9 month photos (mini session)
    - 1 year old photos (mini session)

What will you invest in this package?  $375.  You save over $100 booking this package.  Deposit applies to this package as well.  I am willing to travel for a travel fee.  Each session will include a disc of your best images and printing rights.

2. I've done several weddings since starting my business, and I've decided to expand in that area of my business.  So, I am now offering a wedding package, which may be changed according to your needs.  It will consist of the following:
   - Engagement session (full session)
   - Bridal portraits session (full session)
   - up to 5 hours pre-ceremony, ceremony and reception coverage

What will you invest in this package?  $850.  Deposit required for this package.  Willing to travel for a fee.  Each session includes a disc with your best images and printing rights.
